Polycystic Ovarian Disorder (PCOD) is a hormonal condition that develops in women. Despite the leaps of advancement in science, no particular cause has been determined for PCOD. However, certain other factors have been identified that may contribute towards this disorder:

·         Higher levels of insulin
The production of extra insulin by the body directly correlates with an increase in male hormones secreted by the ovaries. The initial trigger point of 
PCOD is this overproduction of androgens. Hence, an excess of insulin can be a causative factor for the disorder.
